On Thursday, 20th of May 2010, the Senate passed the Financial Regulatory Reform Bill on a 59 – 39 vote. The National Pawnbrokers Association Legislative Council has worked arduously to protect the pawn industry. While this outcome is a win for the pawn industry, the work of the Legislative Council is far from being over. The House and Senate will seek to merge respective interests.
